Quality and variety “Made in Germany”

This is our claim. As a company with a long tradition, which has its headquarters in Freudenberg, we have developed over the past five decades to become one of the leading manufacturers of manual and power-operated tools and bits in Germany. From the date of foundation of our company, we have focussed on the production of screwdrivers, bits and similar tools. Although In earlier times we were a supplier to renowned companies with well-know brands, since 2003 we have been selling an extensive range of tools under our own brand “Athlet – Qualitätswerkzeuge”. Thanks to a well established network of agents all over Europe our export sales have increased to more than 50% or our production. WURO tools are therefore found in many countries around the world.

As part of the transition to the new generation the company was re-named on 01 January 1995. The name of the individual enterprise WURO-Werkzeuge-Kunststoffe, Wilhelm Uebach was changed to WURO-Wilhelm Uebach GmbH & Co. KG. The number of staff which was eleven at the time of the foundation has continuously increased to more than 90. At present, more than 30,000 items, from the raw material to the finished product, are made at our Freudenberg site. High quality, dependable delivery dates and good relationships with our customers are our strong points. A quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 has been used for many years. For several years we have been a member of Fachverband Werkzeugindustrie (Professional Association of the German Tool Manufacturing Industry) and Warenzeichenverband Edelstahl Rostfrei (Trademark Association “Stainless Steel”). In order to strengthen our market position, we are continuously investing in innovative production and processing technology. Computer-controlled profiling units and fully automatic multi-component injection moulding machines as well as advanced laser equipment are, as a matter of fact, utilised in our plant.
